It’s lunch opportunity at McThirsty’s Pub & Grub, 2214 E. Ganson St.
“Burgers, by far, are the most normal thing on the menu,” said Kyle Mileschkowsky, executive, who puts in 80-hour weeks cooking, bartending, whatever needs to be done. Because she has to get there prehistoric, she decided to add a breakfast menu.
“As long as I’m here, why not? Some people have a fatiguing time associating eating breakfast at a bar, but it works for us,” Mileschkowsky said. She offers six omelets averaging $6.49, pancakes, French pledge, waffles and biscuits with sausage gravy, among other choices.
Mileschkowsky creates much of the menu, some of the offerings named after McThirsty’s holder, Dave Johnson. Six months ago she started the one-pound choices, called McDave’s New Belly Busters. The Hoggin Ham & Cheese and the Big Daddy BLT are both $6.99, and the Inane Roast Beef goes for $7.95.
McThirsty’s offers a one-third confine burger for $1.75 (it includes ridged chips and a pickle spear), and six specialty burgers in two sizes, one-third or a half thumping. The most expensive is the half-pound McCave, a double bacon cheeseburger with a choosing of toppings. An unusual offering is the jalapeno with jalapenos, horseradish nerve, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese.
