Perfectly before the New Year’s holiday, Micro’s Hinnant Outreach Center held what has become the center’s largest outreach things turned out to date.

According to Al Warrick, pastor of Micro Original Disencumber Will Baptist Church, the event, “Soup and Santa,” saw nearly 200 people in gathering including children and adults.

Warrick added that the outreach center gave away 194 bowls of soup, 100 coats and sweaters, and more than 200 toys to children in demand of a Christmas present.


“Many of the families who came in said the toys would be the only Christmas their kids would have, and we were so vehement to be a part of that,” he said.

The event was sponsored by Micro Area Christian Ministries, which is made up of several churches in Micro including Micro Case Free Will Baptist, Micro First Baptist and Micro United Methodist.
