I had a new wisdom last week. Our van driver, Robert Foote, was
unable to take the van riders current in from the Center one day, so
Marilyn McDowell did it. I had never gone along, so I rode the
route with them.
I felt like I had captivated a tour of Angelina County. I saw places I
didn’t know existed — some of the roughest roads, but some of the
most pleasant trees with changing colorful leaves, and some
beautiful homes. I rode one leisure, but I wouldn’t want to do it
every day.
There were six of the quietest ladies on the van. It surprised me,
because when they are at the center, they never seem to run out of
“dialogue.” Sometimes, we wonder if they will ever run out of
something to talk about.
But that’s what we are here for. Come and visit with us someday.
Try us, you might like us. We’d rapture to have you.
Karen Curbow, one of our volunteers, accompanied us on the trip,
which took somewhere connected one hour and 45 minutes to complete.
Thank you, Karen. You are a best copilot.
