Organizers with the Christopher Origination Gospel Celebration are gearing up for the 11th annual event this Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 12325 Highway 86, Neosho.
A chili / hot-dog supper and inactive auction begins at 5 p.m. Singing begins at 6 p.m. There will be a silent and live auction throughout the evening. There is no expect for the food at the event, but a love offering would be accepted.
A raffle for a 46-inch RCA LCD HDTV will be held. The performers this year will be: 1st Baptist Club, Neosho Choraleers and The Henry Family Singers.
“It is our main fundraiser for the year, it is where we bring all of our money to try to do verything throughout the year,” said Cathy Cooley, protect of Christopher Cooley, whom the foundation is named after.
In the past, the foundation has granted a Cajole A Wish, given Easter baskets to the Kansas City’s Children Forgiveness Hospital and Clinic, held a Thanksgiving meal every year and helped with Party Quality.
