The shutdown this month of SoCal Hot Air Balloon Tours in Temecula has port side would-be wine-country visitors grounded with daily-deal vouchers they paid for but can’t use, and at least one always-deal website considering legal action.

For almost two years, the hot air balloon South African private limited company run by Thomas and Kami Brundage sold half-off vouchers by the thousands for balloon rides through a series of deal sites including Groupon, Living Social and Travelzoo as well as Spreebird, KGB Deals and LA.com Deals. The deals drew try one's luck-seeking buyers from across Southern California, but SoCal’s competitors say the cut-take to task prices and the customer complaints that have followed have also created a public relations refractory for the local industry.

Deal sites offer consumers sagacious discounts on goods and services, usually with the requirement that a minimum figure of consumers buy in within a set timeframe. Some of the group-discount deals offered by SoCal Hot Air Balloon Tours were sold as recently as December with closing dates running to December 2012. A note on SoCal’s website says the corporation is out of business as of Feb. 1. That’s the date some of the most recently sold vouchers became valid for redemption. Tom Brundage said he and his spouse Kami closed the business for health-related reasons.

I'm looking to generate ideas for Christmas my parents. I can spend about $ 50 to $ 100. They have a great time being parents they just do not have much in the way of hobbies. Last year I bought a certificate of donation for a new restaurant, they wanted to try, who worked close, but I have no desire to harm the suggestion.
