Best way to find possible arrangements of N values given N and average value?
Question: For example, say I have a bunch of X controls, which may have a known set of costs. The average value of controls in the jump is Y. How can I find the possible ways (number of checks each in a total known cost controls would average X of Y)?
Answer: For me, it looks like a Diophantine equation.
Let all the "costs" is (X1, X2, ... Xn)
Either the lack of controls "with this" cost "value to a protean, say Y
then we have (+ + y1x1 y2x2 ...
