analog, digital?
Question: could anyone excuse me, in simple terms, what in $ ^% * these terms mean? and what is the negotiation with reducing everything to numbers (ALA "The Matrix")? I'm not Mom, but I sure I'm not a spirit of mathematics and I have never heard a presentation of these things that I could understand.
Answer: Analog usually refers to mechanisms that are continuous. Old watches and clocks, for example, are analog, because the internal parts and hands are constantly in motion.
Digital refers to mechanisms that are essentially discrete.
