Disgrace Merion Township police reported to news media the following crimes and incidents from the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd Plat area in the past week:
Attempted burglary: Sometime between Dec. 27 and Dec. 28, someone attempted a burglary on the constituent block of E. Dartmouth Road, police said. The attempt was discovered Dec. 28. A cover was pried out of a side screen door, and the glass was broken on the main door. There have been a compute of attempted burglaries in the area, police said.
Burglary: Tools and copper were stolen between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 28 from a commercial erection on the 200 block of Belmont Avenue, police said. The construction was entered through an open side door. An aluminum break valued at $800 was stolen, as well as addendum cords and copper. The next day, scrap metal was stolen from the same place, police said.
Attempted burglary: Someone tried to dispose of a screen from the side of a house on the 200 block of Marywatersford Road in Belmont Hills between 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 29. A subordinate burglary occurred at a neighbor’s house on the same block at 1:58 p.m. Dec. 29.
